| Properly Using the Grocery Store CircularNow that you have your circular, find some time to sit down with a marker and your coupon box and start paging through. Circle the items that you use, the items that are running low in your panty, and the items you have coupons for. If you have been collecting grocery coupons, chances are, you have a few coupons for some of the items that are on sale, thus, compounding your grocery savings. Be aware of the buy one get one free sales. This is a 50% savings and even more if you have a coupon. After you have been doing this process for some time, you will start to see cycles. I know that the stores I shop in put their pasta on sale every three months. So when it does go on sale, I make sure that I have at least a 3 month supply in my pantry. Other grocery store sale cycles are seasonal such as condiments before July 4, baking supplies around Christmas and soups in the winter as well as seasonal vegetables. Vegetables that are in season tend to be fresher and less expensive. Try to be aware of these grocery cycles. (Read More: Preparing for your Grocery Shopping)
